Having played with Joni Mitchell, George Harrison, LA Express and Charles Musselwhite, as well as his own band, the Yellowjackets, Guitarist Robben Fords resume touches upon all corners of the classic-rock catalogue. After last night, Ford can also add the Allman Brothers Band to his list of famed collaborators. Near the end of the ABBs second set at the Beacon Theater, Ford emerged for a cover of the Rolling Stones Loving Cup, as well as In Memory of Elizabeth Reed and One Way Out. While in his early 50s, Fords appearance significantly lowers the average age of this years Beacon Theater collaborators, which have included Hubert Sumlin (age 75) and Pinetop Perkins (age 92), among others.
