Last night, RAQ arrived a day early for its gig at Ames, IAs People’s to check out a performance at the venue by Particle. During Particles second set, RAQs Chris Michetti and Todd Stoops also took the stage, performing on a cover of Femi Kutis Truth Don Die. Additional theatrics ensued later in its evening, when Particle drummer Darren Pujalet and keyboardist Steve Molitz switched instruments for an encore consisting of a Black Sabbath Jam followed by a version of 7th Gear during which Molitz moved over to guitar and Scott Metzger played keys. RAQ will perform at Peoples tonight, while Particle shares a bill with Brothers Past in Minneapolis at The Cabooze.
