Tomorrow, Washington and Lee will host the 15th annual Buffalo Creek Music Festival at Lexington, VAs Zollman’s Pavilion. Organized by former Relix/Jambands.com intern extraordinaire Cole Boyle, the multi-day event will feature performances from Perpetual Groove, Brothers Past, the Pnuma Trio, Quagmire Swim Team, Steel Train and the Hackensaw Boys, among others. Tom Hamilton will also kickoff the weekends festivities with a set of material from his American Babies project. Buffalo Creek will host music from 7:30 PM to 3:30 AM Friday and from 11 AM to 2 AM Saturday (technically Sunday morning, but Buffalo Creek is on college time). Buffalo Creeks roots actually run quite deep: longtime scene photographer C. Taylor Crothers helped organize the event in its infancy during his own W&L days in the early-1990s.
