As previously reported, Golden Smog, an alt-country supergroup featuring
Wilcos Jeff Tweedy and Soul Asylums Dan Murphy, as well as the Jayhawks
Gary Louris and Kraig Johnson, will release their first album in eight years this July. Available on July 18, Another Fine Day will feature a number of new originals, including the first single 5-22-02. The supergroup has also confirmed a pair of live shows, July 23 at Minneapolis First Avenue and July 26 at New Yorks Bowery Ballroom. While it is unknown whether or not Tweedy will join his bandmates on the road, Wilco is indeed off tour during this time period.
