Two of the scenes most politically charged bands will tour together around election day. Michael Franti and Spearhead have recruited State Radio for a series of dates beginning October 21 at San Franciscos Fillmore Auditorium. State Radio will open for Spearhead in a number of different markets throughout the country, before wrapping up their joint outing November 12 at Millvale, PAs Mr. Smalls. While the groups will take election day (November 7) off, both bands will appear at Northampton, MAs Calvin Theatre the night before and at Philadelphias Electric Factory the night after the Midterm Elections. Tonight, Spearhead will appear at California’s Santa Barbara Bowl with Matisyahu.
