In 2005, Trey Anastasio brought Michigan-based drummer Skeeto Valdez out east to join his band 70 Volt Parade. Since then, Anastasio has gone through a number of different players, eventually molding 70 Volt Parade into a new version of his old Trey Anastasio band. Valdez was the second member of 70 Volt Parade to leave the fold, swapping out for Raymond Weber midway through Anastasios fall 2005 outing. While performing at Ann Arbors Michigan Theatre Saturday, however, Anastasio brought Valdez out again for a version of the 70 Volt Parade staple Come As Melody. Anastasio also dedicated an acoustic version of Wilson to Michigan quaterback Chad Henne who graduated from Pennsylvanias Wilson High School (where one Mr. Brad Sands also graduated from). Anastasio will perform at Boulder, CO’s Fox Theatre tonight .
