On Friday Al Schnier picked up his guitar after a long struggle with tendonitis for a performance with moe. at the Chicago Theatre. To mark the occasion, the group invited out Cheap Trick guitarist, and longtime Chicago-area resident, Rick Nielsen for a handful of songs. Nielson emerged at the end of the groups first set for Cheap Tricks Surrender (which moe. covered once back in 1999), the Beatles Day Tripper, and moe.s Meat. During the groups second set, Umphreys McGees Brendan Bayliss also added some guitar to Crab Eyes. moe. will perform at New Yorks Irving Plaza on December 30.
