Bonnaroo-veterans Steel Train have confirmed a handful of pre-New Years Eve, post-Christmas/Hanukah, holiday shows. The groups three-night run will kick off at Steel Trains former stomping ground, Hoboken, NJs Maxwells, on December 28, before moving into New England for a December 29 support slot for Grace Potter at South Burlington, VTs Higher Ground and a December 30 opening gig for Assembly of Dust at Bostons The Paradise. The groups upcoming tour will be its first without drummer Matthias Gruber, who recently returned home to Germany. For its upcoming run, Jon Shifman, who played with Steel Train at the 2005 edition of Bonnaroo and on the groups outing with the North Mississippi Allstars, will sit behind the kit.
