The 2007 edition of Jam in the Dam wrapped up earlier this week at Amsterdams Melkweg. The line-up featured Keller Williams, Galactic, Yonder Mountain String Band and Dark Star Orchestra and over the three days of the festival, many of the artists shared the stage. Keller was quite active, as in addition to his own performances, as he appeared with Yonder on such songs as Funkytown, Gallavanting, Up On The Hill Where They Do The Boogie and a cover of Umphreys McGees Partyin’ Peeps. Williams also guested with the Dark Star Orchestra (which performed original setlists during its three shows) during its final night on a stretch that ran from Dark Star into Eyes of the World and then Not Fade Away. On the prior evenings DSO brought out members of Yonder, with Jeff Austin adding mandolin to Masterpiece, Cumberland Blues and She Belongs To Me on March 18 while Adam Aijala added acoustic guitar to Big River on the 19th. Yonder reciprocated by welcoming Dark Star drummer Rob Koritz for How ‘Bout You and Southbound during its final show with DSO guitarist John Kadlecik joining in on the latter tune.
