Assembly of Dust keyboardist Nate Wilson spent the past weekend touring the northeast with his solo band. On Friday the Nate Wilson Group headlined New Yorks Knitting Factory Tap Bar, while on Saturday the band opened for Martin Sexton at Bostons Avalon. Over the years Sexton has become good friends with the AOD camp, even performing a set of music with the group at last years Green Apple Music Festival. So it makes sense that Wilson stuck around to check out Sextons show and also joined the guitarist on Black Sheep. In addition, Deep Banana Blackouts Rob Somerville played with Sexton for the entire performance on both Saturday and the prior night at New Yorks Nokia Theater. Somervilles DBB bandmate Cyrus Madan currently plays keyboards in Sextons touring group. AOD will perform at Northampton MA s Iron Horse Music Hall this Thursday.
