Rav Shmuel first made a name for himself on Phish tour, where he used to share his music and free ‘Gefilte Fish’ stickers in parking lots located across the country. While Phish has stopped touring—-for now—-Shmuel continues to write and record. The music video for his song ‘Protocols’ recently won OutStages April online competition, scoring Shmuel a $5,000 grand prize. The video for ‘Protocols’ was selected entirely by fans and can be viewed here# (it contains a cameo from at least one member of the Vermont Quartet). OurStage is currently accepting material for next months online competition in both the video and audio realms. One winner will even be featured on the next compilation CD included in Relix Magazine.
