The members of Toubab Krewe and Uncle Earl will participate in a benefit for Skye Barkschat, an Asheville, NC, music fan who survived life threatening injuries this spring. After a bike accident and resulting coma, Barkschat was given little chance to survive, but with multiple brain surgeries and great care at Asheville’s hospitals and rehabilitation clinics, she is on the road to an amazing recovery. Unfortunately, however, Barkschats accident occurred in her few days between jobs, during which time she did not have health insurance. The Ashville music community is rallying behind Barkschat and members of Toubab Krewe and Uncle Earl will join forces for a benefit at Asheville, NCs the Orange Peel, Wednesday, July 25. The Skye Ball Gala & Auction will also feature dozens of items, including a Les Paul guitar signed by dozens of this year’s Bonnaroo artists, autographed Van Morrison album art, autographed posters, CD packs, a 20th Century Fox DVD package, tickets to see the Atlanta Falcons and passes to festivals like Vegoose. For more information please visit the Orange Peels website.
