Last night at New York Citys Central Park Summerstage, the Black Crowes gave a taste of what is to come. The group recently completed recording its new studio effort, which will be released in the spring, will feature a guest appearance by North Mississippi Allstars Luther Dickinson. In turn, during the Crowes’ Summerstage set, the group brought out Dickinson for Downtown Money Waster which segued into a jam and then into Thorn In My Pride. When introducing Luther, Black Crowes vocalist Chris Robinson explained that the NMAS guitarist was ‘all over’ the new record.
The Black Crowes summer tour continues tonight in Canton, MA at the ICONS Festival while the Allstars are in Amagansett, NY at the Stephen Talkhouse.
