Former New Groove of the Month Jamie McLean`, who is best known for his work in the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, will hit the road this month for an extended tour with his rock band. The Jamie McLean Band will perform at Bostons Great Scott tonight, New Yorks Mercury Lounge tomorrow, Burlington, VTs Red Square Friday and Manchester, CTs The Main Pub Saturday, before performing alongside Phil Lesh & Friends, The Roots, Spoon, Umphreys McGee and many others at Atlantas Echo Project Sunday. From there, the guitarist will gig through the southeast before returning to his former New Orleans home for an appearance at the Voodoo Music Experience on October 27. He will also perform with Big Sams Funky Nation at New Orleans Blue Nile on October 26 and headline the Big Easys Maple Leaf on October 28.
