Asheville, NCs Telepath contributed a track to the new album Copy/Paste/Repeat: Lotus ReMixed and now will join the band on tour. Telepath aims to bridge the space between rock and electronica, offering a blend of downtempo, dub and other DJ sounds. After participating in the Lotus remix project, album, Telepath will now spend three weeks on the road with the group. The two bands will appear at Carrboro, NCs Cat’s Cradle this evening, before making stops in Asheville, NC (1/24), Athens, GA (1/25), Charlotte, NC (1/16), Charleston, SC (1/27), Tallahassee, FL (1/29), New Orleans (1/30), Dallas (1/31), Austin, TX (2/1), Fayetteville, AR (2/5), Memphis (2/6), Lexington, KY (2/7), Charlottesville, VA (2/8) and Towson, MD (2/9).
After a one-off gig at Roanoke, VAs The Mix on March 1, Telepath will launch a month-long headlining tour at Blacksburg, VAs Attitudes on April 8. As of press time, the outing is scheduled to wrap up on April 26 at Huntington, West Virginias V Club. Telepath is currently putting the final touches on its next studio album, which will feature live staples like like ‘Chaos Theory’ and ‘Can’t Come Down.’ Fans can preview select tracks via the groups MySpace page.
