On Monday night Phil Lesh, Bob Weir and Mickey Hart reunited for a performance in support of Barack Obama at their Deadheads For Obama concert in San Francisco. Two nights earlier in Minneapolis, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy returned to the stage with the Golden Smog collective to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate. The Golden Smog line-up for the show at the Target Center also included The Jayhawks’ Gary Louris and Marc Perlman, Dan Murphy (Soul Asylum) and Kraig Johnson (Run Westy Run) along with Greg Wieczorek. The Wilco frontman has been an active Obama enthusiast and in December performed at a Jeff Tweedy and the Cool Kids benefit in Chicago.
