Yerterday we reported on a benefit show for Martin Fierro that was slated to take place on Friday February 29th at Sebastopol, CAs Odd Fellows Hall to aid the costs associated with Fierro’s lung cancer. This event will no longer be taking place. Promoter Falcor and Friends (who certainly approached this with the proper spirit) have stated, ‘The benefit for Martin on Friday the 29th has been cancelled. Please be advised that Martin’s family and management are looking into something in the near future and information will be posted as it comes. With that said, I want to take a moment to apologize to Martin and his family for the confusion sent out in regards to the party this coming Friday. The wording and approach that was taken was completely off balance and I am afraid it it did more harm that good, and for that I am sincerely sorry. Martin does in fact have insurance and I take full responsibility for any misinformation given. I assure all of you that my heart was in the right place and I wanted to help.’
