With baseball season in swing, it feels only appropriate that we bring you some news from the MLB front: As they have in the past, Umphreys McGee will perform the National Anthem in their hometown of Chicago this spring. But, not to choose sides, this year, the group will sing the ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ for both of Chicagos Major League teams. On April 24, the group will sing at U.S. Cellular Field before the Chicago White Sox take on the New York Yankees, and on May 16 Umphrey’s McGee will perform the National Anthem at Wrigley Field, where the Chicago Cubs will play the Pittsburgh Pirates. Meanwhile, Umphreys McGee will kick off a run of April shows at Charlotte, NCs Amos’ Southend tomorrow.
