On Tuesday, the members of Dr. Dog stopped by the Relix/Jambands.com office to tape their third appearance on Relix’s Cold Turkey. Though the group was originally scheduled to perform three songs on the building’s roof, that seemed a bit too straightforward for the left-leaning, Philadelphia-based group. So the musicians decided to take over the building’s boiler room—-and use the room’s gravel floor as a percussive instrument—- for a short, spirited set that draws heavily from the group’s new studio album, Fate. The entire performance is now available for both streaming and download at www.relix.com/radio. Meanwhile, Dr. Dog will open its fall tour September 5 at Arlington, VA’s IOTA Club & Caf
