The Slip will make its first non-festival appearance well over a year this December. The trio has spent the past few months backing singer/songwriter Sonya Kitchell and performing with Nathan Moore as Surprise Me Mr. Davis, but will offer a now rare straight-ahead set at Bostons Paradise on December 27. The groups only performance since mid-2007 took place at Quincy, CAs High Sierra Music Festival this past July. Longtime friends the Benevento-Russo Duo will co-headline the evening, which is being billed as potentially the Slips one and only Northeast performance of 2008. Surprise Me Mr. Davis will also play a late night show with The Duo at New Yorks B.B. King Blues Club on December 31.
