As previously reported, the Black Crowes will record a new studio album later this month in front of a live audience at Levon Helms famed barn. Crowes frontman Chris Robinson showed up at the barn a few days earlier this weekend to sit in with Helm and his band on the blues chestnut Shake Your Money Maker during one of the drummers famed Rambles (the song also provided the title of the Crowes debut disc). The evening also featured an opening set by Norah Jones and her new band Puss ‘N Boots, who covered Wilcos Jesus Ect. Puss ‘N Boots Catherine Popper, a onetime member of Ryan Adams & the Cardinals and Jammys veteran, also played bass with Helm throughout his set.
