Okay, we’re going in a slightly different direction this month. With March marking the 40th Anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band, we wanted to tap an ABB site. After poking around a bit, we came to the conclusion that Moogis was the way to go. Sure the site is the brainchild of ABB co-founder Butch Trucks but who’s to say he can’t be a fan? (Indeed after hearing him talk a bit, one realizes that he is).
While Moogis is a paid service, there are a number of free forums, where fans can congregate and deliver play-by-play reports of the shows. What’s more a range of videos are available for all to see, including conversations with the band members and numerous guests, including Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell,Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal and many others.
So stop by and poke around. It’s well worth your time and energy as a tangible reminder that ‘The Road Goes On Forever…’
