Dr. Stan Lobitz is not only a Pennsylvania-based general practitioner, he is also the official moe. archivist. With thousands of tape at his disposal, the band has left it to him to select their upcoming archival live recording release. Dr. Stan’s Prescription, Volume 1 features a performance by the group from the pool deck of its Caribbean cruise on 3/8/04. The filler on the three-disc set is drawn from an appearance in Vail, CO on 3/12/95. Dr. Stan’s Prescription will be issued on September 2, the Tuesday following moe.down (those who pre-order through the moe. merch site will receive a free custom Dr. Stan pillbox). Tonight, moe. is in Boulder for a sold-out show at the Fox Theatre.
