On Thursday night, moe. opened up their run at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, CA, and welcomed venue proprietor and Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh for a full first set of Dead favorites.
As Deadheadland reports, Lesh and the band (minus bassist Rob Derhak) came out for the first set and opened the night with “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo” before moving into Dead classics “Franklin’s Tower,” “Althea,” “Box of Rain,” “Estimated Prophet” and “Eyes of the World.” Derhak then joined to add a second bass to “The Other One” and helped the ensemble close out the set by taking vocals on a cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle.” moe. then took over for a regular-band set to end the night.
See the full setlist below, along with a few videos from the night. moe. and Lesh return to the Terrapin Crossroads stage tonight for round two.
