The Allman Brothers Band is now in Boston, with the second of three shows at the Orpheum Theater set for tonight. On Monday, however, the group will travel to New York City for the Another One For Woody benefit at Roseland Ballroom. It appears that the group will travel to the city once again in the spring of 2011, with a press conference set for Monday morning at the Beacon Theatre. The expectation (based on comments from the band members over the past few weeks) is that the group will announce that it will resume the spring Beacon performance run that was suspended this year and moved uptown to the United Palace due to the residency of Cirque du Soleil’s oft-delayed and since-cancelled show “Banana Shpeel.”
