A month after announcing their joint Pigeons Frasco Dogs Tour, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Andy Frasco & the U.N. and Dogs in a Pile have extended the tour with additional dates. These newly added shows will take the groups up and down the East Coast for seven dates in August and September. This announcement comes after high demand for the first leg of the Pigeons Frasco Dogs Tour, which will launch on May 24 with an opening appearance at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, N.J. 

The new summer-closing segment of the Pigeons Frasco Dogs Tour will debut two months after its first leg wraps up on June 6 at the Bonfire Music & Arts Festival in Yuba, Wis. The second stint will kick off on Aug. 23 and 24 with two nights at Pelham, Tenn.’s The Caverns, the premiere venue for deep-diving jam fans. Next, on Aug. 25, the trio of acts will perform at Birmingham, Ala.’s Avondale Brewing Company before heading into the Big Apple for an evening at New York’s Pier 17 on Aug. 31. The Pigeons Frasco Dogs ensemble will then trek to coastal New England for a show at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Me. on Sept. 1. To close out the tour, the bands will bear south again to Roseland, Va.’s Devils Backbone on Sept. 6, then finally welcome in autumn with a closing show at The Fillmore Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C. on Sept. 8. 

In addition to their joint tour this year, each group is busy with its own projects. In advance of its tour departure, PPPP will release its seventh studio album, Day In Time, on April 26. Meanwhile, Dogs in a Pile will complete a series of California residency shows this April before accompanying Andy Frasco & the U.N. on a slew of tour stops in April and early May, leading up to its run opening for headliners Frasco & the U.N. and PPPP on the Pigeons Frasco Dogs Tour.
