Chris Robinson Brotherhood kicked off a three-night stand at The Fillmore in San Francisco two nights ago, and both performances of the run so far have included special encores featured two live CRB debuts each from iconic artists.
For night one, Robinson and company closed out their evening with two Neil Young cuts, “World On a String” and “Roll Another Number (For the Road),” both of which marked debuts for the band. Watch video of the covers below.
Last night, the group continued their residency with a two-set performance that featured two tunes from Robinson’s old band The Black Crowes in the first set, “Tornado” and “Roll Old Jeremiah,” along with covers of Aretha Franklin’s “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man,” The Rolling Stones’ “Let It Bleed” and Bob Dylan’s “Tough Mama,” along with an encore that featured two Otis Redding cover debuts for CRB, “The Happy Song (Dum-Dum)” and “I Can’t Turn You Loose.”
