Pirate’s Choice Internationale has announced that they will present the first annual JuJu Fest, a ten-night celebration of West African music that will take place during this year’s Jazz Fest in New Orleans.
Toubab Krewe’s Luke Quaranta, who has organized past West African music events such as Musicians for Mali, will bring together artists such as his own Krewe, Pirate’s Choice, Benyoro and Raja Kassis’ humanBEING, along with several special guests including Yacouba Sissoko, Rebelution’s Khris Royal, Lettuce’s Eric Bloom and Nth Power’s Weedie Braimah.
The shows, which will feature different lineups each night, will take place from April 24-May 6. See the full schedule below.
