Two upcoming releases will focus on the music of seminal singer/songwriter John Prine. The first is the new live In Person & On Stage, which is scheduled for release on May 25 via Oh Boy Records, the label Prince started in 1981 with manager Al Bunetta. The live collection captures Prine onstage, performing material ranging from his 1971 debut to 2005’s acclaimed Fair & Square. In Person & On Stage also includes appearances by Iris DeMent (“Unwed Fathers”, “In Spite of Ourselves”), Josh Ritter (“Mexican Home”) and Nickel Creek’s Sara Watkins (“The Late John Garfield Blues”). A free download of “She Is My Everything” is available now.

In addition, Oh Boy Records will also release Broken Hearts & Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine on June 22. The album consists of a dozen classic Prine songs covered by the likes of My Morning Jacket, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, The Avett Brothers, Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lambchop, Drive-By Truckers, Deer Tick featuring Liz Isenberg, Justin Townes Earle and Those Darlins. Watkins and Ritter also reprise their tracks from In Person & On Stage.
