Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have announced that they will cancel their two-night “Flockbuster” Halloween run after one of their “touring party” has tested positive for COVID-19.
“With public safety at heart, this weekend’s shows in Richmond, Va. have been cancelled,” the band wrote on Wednesday, Oct. 28. “We intend to make up these shows as soon as we can.”
The two night Halloween run was set to close the band’s drive-in tour, which took them from Ohio to Maryland to Pennsylvania to a rainy night in North Carolina just last week.
PPPP fans will receive automatic refunds from their ticket provider for the two nights, and the band assures them that their cinematic “Flockbuster” themed shows will happen “one way or another.”

October 29, 2020 at 2:17 pmIts a bad flu with a 99.75% survival rate that has a 100% chance of destroying the economy and our pleasures. Everyone working, not at home collecting super unemployment is going to pay for this for the rest of their lives. Time to jump on the disability bandwagon…

October 30, 2020 at 10:22 amLet’s ignore the fact that the US death rate I don’t know where people get this 99% chance of survival number. But sure, let’s ignore the evidence of significant long term health effects on the lungs and heart that they’re finding in people who survived. Let’s ignore evidence that we could have reduced the spread and reduced the deaths if we had leaders who believed in science and acted in the interest of the people rather than their political fate and a population that understood we live in a community so what affects one affects all and followed simple science based guidelines instead of screaming that wearing a mask is somehow restricting their freedom when all it does is help reduce the spread and let us go back to some semblance of normality.

October 29, 2020 at 10:39 amCmon man. One person on their payroll got the Flu. It happens. It will continue to happen . Nothing to do with putting on shows. Live a little and get out of the house. Fresh air is good for you Pro tip – Covid wont jump out from behind a tree and get you so you don’t need to wear a mask when walking your dog alone.

October 29, 2020 at 12:55 pmHoly Christ, are there still people calling this the flu? It’s not! While the odds are still in your favor for recovery, the chance of death is much higher. While there are people who care only about themselves, there are others who care about those around them. Had to be a tough call to cancel the shows at the last moment because whether you care about others, or not, we all want music. A band of this size needs the income but made a choice to consider people before money…
