Widespread Panic have released the latest archival recording as part of their Porch Songs series. The new live release takes from the band’s show at Independence Arena in Charlotte, NC, on November 17, 2001.
Charlotte 2001 includes the entirety of the two-set performance, which featured late guitarist Michael Houser, plus guest spots from Brad Rosen on percussion and Jerry Joseph on guitar and vocals for a few tunes including a cover of Neil Young’s “Cortez the Killer,” while Rosen sticks around for the ensuing “Drums.”
