Jim James will release his forthcoming solo record Eternally Even on November 4 via ATO and has released the first track from that record, “Same Old Lie” available to stream here.

The album was co-produced by Blake Mills along with James, and Mills describes the effort as “the beautiful sounds of a violent collision between someone’s past and future.”

The new tune is available for instant download with an album pre-order today. James will also support the release of a record with a tour, kicking off November 15 in Boston. James will also play a few shows later this month including an appearance at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Consult the full slate here.
