Phish closed out their four night Madison Square Garden run with some of their oldest classics throughout the show. While a majority of the show was peppered with tunes from the 90s, a newer cut “Your Pet Cat” kicked off the show, one of the songs from the band’s Chilling, Thrilling Sounds set at the Las Vegas Halloween show.

From there, the quartet strung together songs like “AC/DC Bag,” “NICU” as well as a choppy “It’s Ice,” “Horn” and “Divided Sky.” After the rock pairing of “Axilla” and “Maze,” the band closed the first set with “Train Song” and a funky “Julius.”

The six-song second set kicked off with one of the most exploratory moments of the run, with a 22-minute “Tweezer” that dissolved into “Sand.” A well-played “Limb By Limb” and energetic “Suzy Greenberg” followed before the band paired a couple of their heavyweights together.

First up was “Harry Hood,” a version of the tune that followed many played throughout 2015, as the band dabbled outside the typical construct of the jam before returning to the final riff of the song. After that, “You Enjoy Myself” arrived to close the set, which featured Anastasio briefly joining Jon Fishman on the drum set before the vocal jam.

For the encore, the band dusted off “The Lizards” for the first time since Blossom ’15 before the “Tweezer Reprise” encore brought the show, and run, to a roaring conclusion.

Next up for Phish is their Mexico destination event, which kicks off January 15.
