Multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby sat in with Furthur at Broomfield, CO’s 1StBank Center last night. Crosby, a onetime member of Robert Randolph & the Family Band and God Street Wine, emerged during Furthur’s second set to play fiddle on “Cumberland Blues.” Later in the evening, he returned to play fiddle on “Days Between,” before switching over to organ for both “Eyes of the World” and the encore of “Brokedown Palace.” Crosby recently played Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads along with the reunited God Street Wine and has popped up at a variety of Marin County jam sessions during the past few weeks.
Furthur will kick off an eight-night run at Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre on April 16.
