Neil Young has confirmed three weeks of dates on his upcoming Twisted Road tour. British folk guitarist Bert Jansch will open all of these gigs, which open on May 18 at the Palace Theatre in Albany. Young will focus on theaters for this series of shows, including some spots that rarely host live music such as the Hanover Theater in Worcester, MA. Young’s tour stops also include two nights in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium on June 1 and 2 before he wraps things up in Dallas at the Meyerson Symphony Center on June 7.
In other Neil Young news, Jonathan Demme’s concert film Neil Young Trunk Show, continues to open across Canada and will be released by Reprise Records later this year. Demme also directed 2006’s Heart of Gold and Neil Young Trunk Show is the second film in a projected trilogy.
