As they continue to wind through their spring tour, LCD Soundsystem have announced plans to keep the show rolling with new summer tour dates. From Aug. 7-23, the pioneering electronica octet helmed by James Murphy will play 15 shows across the Midwest, West Coast and Mountain states, further amplifying anticipation for a widely-speculated first studio album since 2017’s American Dream.

LCD Soundsystem’s summer US tour will pick up after the remainder of their spring tour, which will continue through May 4, as well as three festival bookings in Europe and an eight-show residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton from June 12-22. The band’s next American outing wil begin with two nights at Seattle’s Remlinger Farms on August 7 and 8, where they’ll be supported by the newly reactivated TV On The Radio.

The bands will team up for another double-header at Bend, Ore.’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater on Aug. 9 and 10, then part ways as LCD performs in Salt Lake City before reuniting for a performance at Morrison, Colo.’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Aug. 13. LCD Soundsystem will go on to make stops at famed venues in Milwaukee, Columbus, Ohio, St. Louis, and Detroit before closing the tour proper with a booking at Toronto, Ontario’s HISTORY on Aug. 22 and 23. They’ll round out the year’s itinerary so far a month later by assuming the spotlight at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl for a shared bill with Pulp on Sept. 25 and 26.

In October 2024, LCD Soundsystem heralded a new chapter with the premiere of “X-Ray Eyes” on NTS Radio, a techy, minimal production with a proto-Detroit backbeat that arrived as its first single since the full-throttle dance-punk of 2022’s “New Body Rhumba.” Shortly after, Primavera Sound mistakenly detailed that LCD’s set would present a long-awaited new album, encouraging an optimistic explanatory statement from Murphy. “It’s the first single of what’s shaping up to be a new album,” the frontman said of the new song and circulating rumors. “Don’t ask me when that is, because we’re still working on it. But it feels very good to be putting out new music.”

Tickets for LCD Soundsystem’s new tour dates will become available through an artist pre-sale on Wednesday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m. local time. General on-sale will follow on Friday, April 18 at 10 a.m. local time. For tickets and more information, visit lcdsoundsystem.com.
