Neil Young has added another name to his list of contributors who will sit in with him tonight at The Roxy’s 50th anniversary celebration in Los Angeles. Joining the “Like A Hurricane” singer is Nils Lofgren, Young’s longtime friend and Crazy Horse collaborator.

Earlier this year, Young revealed his plans to perform at the benefit concert. The addition of Lofgren to tonight’s show comes after a recent availability for the musician. Lofgren was presumably expected to tour with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, but due to the postponement of Springsteen’s September concert dates, Lofgren will now take the stage with Young in Los Angeles.

The lineup for tonight’s concert will find Young and guitarist Lofgren joined by bassist Billy Talbot, drummer Ralph Molina and multi-instrumentalist Micah Nelson. The group will perform tonight under the moniker The Santa Monica Flyers, which originally consisted of Lofgren, Talbot, Molina and the late guitarist Ben Keith.

Notably, the same group under The Santa Monikers opened the Roxy 50 years ago today. Young shared the news for tonight on Neil Young Archives, announcing their plans to play two albums live.
