On Feb 15, Asheville’s Salvage Station will welcome musicians and poets to their indoor stage for a special night of collaboration and community spirit. The event, titled No Simple Disruption, will feature a headlining set from John Medeski & Friends, as well as appearances from a number of other prolific artists with connections to the Asheville community.

Top musicians on the bill include Dead and Company’s Oteil Burbridge, legendary guitarist and songwriter Vernon Reid, multi-instrumentalist Brian Jackson, Grammy-nominated drummer Jeff Sipe, and soul-country singer Maggie Rose. Beloved turntablist DJ Logic, known for his top-talent collaboration, is also set to perform.

During the event, young local poets and musicians will have the opportunity to open for these renowned artists and share their own world-changing lyrics. No Simple Disruption is the venue’s first live partnership between creative youth and accomplished musical storytellers.

Asheville’s Root Down food truck will be on-site for the event, serving their twist on Southern Soul food. No Simple Disruption will also offer a full open bar for ticket holders.

Tickets are on sale now on the Salvage Station website for $20. Day-of-show tickets will be available at the door for $25. Venue doors will open at 6 p.m., and entertainment will begin at 7 p.m.
