After delivering their annual holiday cheer at the 2022 iteration of Goosemas, which occurred this past weekend at Broomfield, Colo.’s 1STBANK Center, Goose followed up by taking the stage at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colo., where they debuted a new song, “Mr. Action.” Conscious Alliance was the backer of the event. The organization notoriously collaborates with musicians to host ‘Art That Feeds’ food drives to feed families in underserved communities.

The Sunday night gig got underway with “Yeti” into a cover of Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks,” followed by a return to the evening opener. Next, the jammers dug into “Jive I” before continuing with “Echo of a Rose.” The initial frame brought forth a 20-minute “Earthling or Alien?” which came before the set’s final song, a take on Blind Melon’s “No Rain.”

After a break from the stage, the band returned and dug into their new original, “Mr. Action,” which was performed for the first time during the Centennial State gig. To follow, they unleashed the original “All I Need” before covering Talking Heads’ “Crosseyed and Painless.” Next, they worked through “Spirit of the Dark Horse” before a high-energy rendition of DEVO’s seminal track “Whip It.” The frame came to a close with “So Ready,” a tune plucked from Shenanigans Nite Club

For their encore, Goose began with “Elmeg the Wise” before covering the Grateful Dead’s “Brokedown Palace,” performed for the first time this year. Then, the band capped the night with The Trammps’ “Disco Inferno.”
