Today, American jamband Spafford announced a string of new dates to their upcoming winter tour in celebration of the addition of their new keyboardist Cory Schectman who is previously known for his work with The New Motif. Schectman’s addition comes following the departure of former Spafford keyboardist Andrew “Red” Johnson, who left the band in early November.

Spafford’s newly announced shows are being touted as the Spaff Ski Tour and will take place in ski towns across Colorado. The stops include Telluride on Feb. 14, Steamboat Springs on Feb. 18-19, Frisco on Feb. 21, Avon on Feb. 22, and Grand Junction on Feb. 23, Nederland on Feb. 24 and finally, Durango on Feb. 25.

The Spaff Ski Tour dates are tacked on to their 2023 winter tour, which has performances lined up in the Northeast and Midwest in January through February in cities like Philadelphia, Nashville, Tenn., Atlanta, Ga., New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago and more.

Red’s final show will take place during Spaffords New Year’s Eve run at The Marquee Theater in Tempe, Ariz., on Dec. 30 and 31 – Schectman will take over one week later at Crested Butte, Colo on Jan. 6 and 7.

“New Year’s Eve is a very special night for Spafford as it’s the band’s birthday,” Red shared in a statement on social media. “Back in late 2011, I was asked to play a handful of shows with the band to finish out the year. That New Year’s Eve, I became a full time member of Spafford. New Year’s shows have always been very special to me, so it seems only fitting that my last show should be on New Year’s Eve. I hope to see ALL of you at The Marquee Theater 12/30 and 12/31 to celebrate with us!”

Tickets for Spafford’s newly announced winter tour dates in Colorado will go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 8 a.m. MT. Learn more and find tickets here.
