Today, Twiddle issued their newest single off their upcoming studio album Every Last Leaf set to release on Aug. 12. Produced by Clint Bierman and recorded at Sugarworks Soundhouse in Waitsfield, Vt. by Roger Stauss and Samuel Johnson, “River Drift” is the fourth musical offering from the jam quartet’s anticipated 15-track LP.

Defined as an ode to friendship and life, “River Drift” allows listeners a space to reflect and take stock of meaningful lessons. A heartfelt piano melody leads the track into a poetic verse conveyed by resonating vocals. Building up each verse with layers of instrumentation, the song peaks at a liberating and soulful chorus and exits with harmonious guitar.

“River Drift is about honoring and being there for the people that you love while they are still with you. The song is also about honoring the friendship and impact they had on your life once they are gone. I think we can all agree that it is easier to bear life’s hardships and struggles when good people are at your side,” singer Mihali Savaloulidis offered in a press release.

Prior to dropping “River Drift”, Twiddle had shared three singles in support of their first full studio release since 2015: “Beautiful”, “The Devil” (Ft. John Popper of Blues Traveler) and “Distance Makes The Heart” (Ft. Anders Beck of Greensky Bluegrass) which are on all streaming platforms and have accompanying music videos.

Twiddle will appear at several festivals this summer in addition to solo performances at High Sierra Music Festival on July 3 and Levitt Pavilion in Westport, Ct. from July 29 through 30. See below for full summer tour dates. Tickets are available for purchase here.
