Yesterday evening, The Infamous Stringdusters performed at the illustrious and beloved Red Rocks Amphitheatre, in Morrison, Colo. The evening saw a wide assortment of sonic delights from The Infamous Stringdusters along with their guests The California Honeydrops and Karina Rykman. The evening also saw surprise assistance from Greensky Bluegrass’s Paul Hoffman.

The Infamous Stringdusters hit the ground running opening with a cover of Bill Monroe’s “Toy Heart,” which was featured on their 2021 album A Tribute to Bill Monroe. Once the strings started ringing The Dusters didn’t want to stop, they moved seamlessly into a song from their 2022 album Toward the Fray, “I Didn’t Know” which was followed by 2019’s ” If You’re Gonna Love Someone.” The jam continued with “Drank” > “Sirens” and after a short breath they moved into another song off Toward the Fray “Pearl Of Carolina.”

The Infamous Stringdusters continued the show with a cover of ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dressed Man” which was followed by “Down From The Mountain” which showcased dobro and guitar going head to head. Next, Greensky Bluegrass’ Hoffman joined the crew on stage to share shred some mandolin on “It’ll Be Alright” > “Living Over.” The Infamous Stringdusters then arrived at their love song to the Centennial State, “Colorado.” They closed the show with “Well Well,” “Let it Go” and a jam of “Wake Me Up” into “Fork.”

The Infamous Stringdusters returned to the stage for the encore with their guests, The California Honeydrops, Rykman and Hoffman in tow. All together on stage, they delivered the title track of their album Rise Sun which was followed by a colossal cover of The Band’s “I Shall Be Released.”
