Big Gigantic – comprised of Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken – have shared their latest collaborative track, “Just The Same,” in anticipation of the June 10 release of their eighth studio album, Brighter Future 2. The song features contributions from Vic Mensa and Mick Jenkins, who assist the Boulder, Colo.-based duo in delivering a genre-bending experience that’s meant to be played loud.

The twosome’s latest creation, combines elements of electronica, hip-hop, jazz and pop to produce a vibey track that clocks in at just under three minutes. With a heavy beat and consistent drums, “Just The Same” carries an edge that is reminiscent of nineties hip hop trends–Needless to say, the track is a head-nodder with exquisite rhythm.

“We’re excited to bring two of Chicago’s own, Vic Mensa and Mick Jenkins, together on the same song with this hard-hitting beat and feel good sample,” shared Lalli. “A song about two people from the same place with two different point of views.”

In April, they shared the third track off Brighter Future 2, “Keep On Rising,” featuring Aloe Blacc. The tune is another testament to the duo’s adept ability to transcend musical categorizations while emphasizing positivity as an anthem for resilience and self-worth. Read the full announcement here
