Providence, R.I. band DARKSIDE have announced that they’ll be performing their first show in eight years at the Los Angeles destination festival Primavera Sound, which is set to take place at the State Historic Park on Sept. 16-18. DARKSIDE is comprised of Chilean electronic musician and vocalist Nicolás Jaar and American multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington. They’re are known for their surrealist, almost David Lynch-esque sound.

“From the beginning, DARKSIDE has been our jam band. Something we did on days off. When we reconvened, it was because we really couldn’t wait to jam together again,” said Jaar in a press release. Harrington echoed this saying: “It felt like it was time again… We do things in this band that we would never do on our own. DARKSIDE is the third being in the room that just kind of occurs when we make music together.”

In conjunction with the announcement of their performance, DARKSIDE shared their latest single, “Ecdysis!” a six-minute track recorded during the sessions that resulted in their second full-length LP Spiral. “Ecdysis!” is now available on all streaming platforms.
