In a savvy move, the Beanstalk Festival has taken Colorado’s social distancing rules into consideration and moved from Rancho Del Rio in Bond, Colo. to Fort Collins’ Holiday Twin Drive-In, becoming the country’s first drive-in music festival.

The drive-in format has previously been considered by European promoters as well as U.S. titan LiveNation, yet Beanstalk at the Drive-in – scheduled for June 26-27, 2020 – is the first marquee event to enact it.

Keeping the original lineup intact, host band Magic Beans will be joined by Kitchen Dwellers, Cycles, The Great Salmon Famine and Envy Alo.

According to a press release, “Audio will be beamed to attendees in their vehicles, while video of the live performances will be seen on the theater’s two giant, drive-in movie screens: 90’x35’ and 65’x32’, respectively. This continues the festival’s tradition of blending unique experiences and musical genres at fan first events.”

Adds Beanstalk Festival promoter Scott Hachey, “We’re lucky to be independent promoters with great support when it comes to our patrons, so it’s all about them. We’re resourceful and agile enough as a team to pivot and still provide a music experience that we think may end up being just as fun, and certainly more unique; I think that’s our niche. People are itching to get out and have fun, but also want the reassurance that the right precautions are being taken. Well this is it, here we go!”

Original tickets for Beanstalk will be honored for the new drive-in event, and more information additional tickets can be found at BeanstalkFestival.com.
