Vampire Weekend have announced the supporting artists for their 2020 tour dates that will continue the band’s support of their most recent studio album, Father of the Bride, including a run of five Northwest dates with opening act Twiddle.
Also on the list of support for the tour are Dijon, who will handle the duties from late May into June, and young Delta blues phenom Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, who will return to VW’s tour for fall 2020 dates in September and October.
Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig has previously expressed his interest in Twiddle, even dedicating a portion of his radio show, Time Crisis, to the Vermont jamband’s early staple “Jamflowman” and later welcoming Twiddle frontman Mihali Savoulidis to chat about the song and more on a later broadcast. Koenig also took in a Twiddle show at LA’s Troubadour earlier this year.
