On April 5, singer-trombonist Natalie Cressman and guitarist Ian Faquini will release their first duo record, Setting Rays of Summer.

According to a press release, the 10-song offering will take inspiration from several world genres, namedly the Brazilian rhythms of baião, samba, and ijexá, with lyrics in Portuguese, English and French.

Cressman – who you may recognize for her work with Trey Anastasio Band – and Faquini have also scheduled a tour to support the new album. The 12-city outing will kick of on March 26 in New York City and then head west, with stops in major cities like Los Angeles, Seattle and Denver.
