Ivan Neville has announced he will be offering an intimate career retrospective performance during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this year, as the Dumpstaphunk keyboardist will be accepting the first-ever Songbook Award from non-profit 30 Amp Circuit.

The show, dubbed Ivan Neville Piano Sessions: Through the Ages, will take place at New Orleans’ Le Petit Theatre on May 2, the second Thursday of Jazz Fest—the same day that Neville’s Dumpstaphunk will play the fest’s main stage before The Rolling Stones’ headlining performance. Neville will be welcoming some special guests for the event, including Cyril Neville (Ivan’s uncle) and Dumpstaphunk guitarist Ian Neville (Ivan’s cousin), while offering a career-spanning performance with stories from his eclectic, decades-long stint in music.

The event will also feature VIP catering from Tableau restaurant and Chef Dickie Brennan, and proceeds from the evening will go to 30 Amp, WWOZ and The New Orleans Musician’s Clinic. More information can be found here.
