Bob Weir brought his inaugural tour with the Wolf Bros trio to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, on Friday night for the first of two shows at the venue, and the group added a fourth member for much of the night, welcoming NYC-based saxophonist Kenny Brooks for several songs in both of the night’s sets.

After kicking off the night with “Not Fade Away,” Weir, backed by bassist Don Was and drummer Jay Lane, brought out Brooks for a run of RatDog’s “Ashes and Glass” with a cover of “Don’t Let Go” sandwiched in. After Weir led the trio through his Blue Mountain cut “Only a River,” Brooks returned for “Little Red Rooster” and the set-closing “Cassidy.”

Set two opened with “Weather Report Suite” and featured Brooks sitting in for the entirety, on tunes like “Let It Grow,” “Dark Star,” The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows,” “New Speedway Boogie” and “Going Down the Road Feeling Bad” before the quartet closed out night one at The Cap with an encore of “Brokedown Palace.”

See the full setlist below, along with pro-shot clips from both sets via the webcast preview. Weir and Wolf Bros return to the Capitol Theatre stage tonight for round two. Tonight’s show will also be streamed via nugs.tv.
