This past summer, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit played a special set at Rhode Island’s legendary Newport Folk Festival in which the Americana outfit welcomed iconic singer-songwriter David Crosby for a couple of classic tunes, and an official recording of one of those, “Wooden Ships,” is now available, with proceeds from sales of the single going to HeadCount.

Along with “Wooden Ships”—a Crosby, Stills & Nash tune that Crosby co-wrote with bandmate Stephen Stills and late Jefferson Airplane member Paul Kantner—Crosby also guested with Isbell and company on “Ohio,” the CSNY protest song written by Neil Young.

Below, listen to the newly released live cut of “Wooden Ships,” and watch fan-shot video of both songs from Newport Folk 2018.
